Thompson Okanagan Ringette League (TORL) is one of the four Leagues which make up the BC Ringette Association. The other three leagues are Lower Mainland Ringette League (LMRL), Northern Ringette League and the Island League (click on the above links to view the leagues who have websites).

TORL is currently made up of four Associations: Kelowna, Shuswap, Greater Vernon and Westside. Our League has over 470 players registered on 40 different teams from Bunny to Open.

TORL’s  Aims and Objectives are:

    1. To promote, foster and develop the playing of Ringette within our league.
    2. To stimulate public awareness and foster spectator interest.
    3. To establish and maintain uniform League playing rules.
    4. To promote and encourage the formation of local Associations.
    5. To foster the highest standards of sportsmanship and friendliness.
    6. To promote Ringette as a mass participation sport and as a means of healthy exercise, improving physical fitness, mental health and social development.
    7. To encourage participants to strive for excellence in team work, team spirit and team discipline.
    8. To encourage both recreational House League and All-Star competition.

TORL’s elected Executive and Board of Directors, is made up of volunteers from the various Associations within the League. Monthly meetings are held to deal with League and BCRA policy, Scheduling, Clinics, All-Star teams, and any other issues that affect our League and Associations.

TORL is represented by its President at regular BCRA meetings. These meetings deal with League and Provincial issues. TORL and Association reps also attend the BC Ringette Associaton annual general meeting.
